Tomorrow is Strive to be Kind and Wear Yellow for Allison Day.
Friends of murdered mother Allison Baden-Clay established the event, on 1 August, to remember their friend and encourage all to consider how they treat the family, friends and colleagues.
The community is encouraged to wear yellow (Allison’s favourite colour) in memory of Allison and to bring some kindness into the life of someone else, whether it be providing essential items to a person in need, carrying out a chore for an elderly person or something as simple as holding open the door for someone.
Allison impacted on the lives of all those who knew her because of her generous nature and kind soul. To continue Allison’s legacy and hold her memory in the hearts of the community, people are encouraged to live with compassion in their lives and with love for one another.
In Brisbane, yellow ribbons are being sold at various locations. Money raised will assist Allison’s three young daughters with education and medical expenses. Donations can also be made to The Late Allison Baden-Clay Children’s Trust. For details, go to wearyellowforallison.weebly.com.
