Nutritionist, Dr Joanna McMillen shares her recipe for a low cholesterol summer smoothie, packed full of healthy goodness.
Vanilla Almond Milk Green Smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients
3 Cos lettuce leaves
1⁄2 Lebanese cucumber
1⁄2 stalk celery
1 sachet Vanilla BetaHeart
1⁄4 cup (50g) pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
1 cup almond milk
Method
Put all the ingredients into a Vitamix or blender in the order listed and blitz on full power until completely smooth. If
using a Vitamix you can use the tamper to push the ingredients down into the blades. Pour into a glass and enjoy.
Tip: If using fresh rather than frozen pineapple, add a few ice cubes to chill the smoothie.
