Grab your kit bag, your running shoes, or even your horse or canoe – and register now for the Australian Masters’ Games in October.
The Australian Masters Games will this year be held in Geelong, Victoria, and is expected to attract more than 8000 people from all over the world making it one of the premier and largest participating sporting events on the Australian sporting calendar.
Covering eight days and including more than 60 sports, the event encourages a positive active lifestyle and is open to all. The only criteria is age, and in most sports this is 30 years and over. There is no maximum age or qualification criterion and no limit to the number of events a person is allowed to compete in
With just 38 days until early bird entry closes, participants need to start planning. But, if you don’t have a competitive streak there are many other ways to be involved. More than 2000 volunteers are needed to run the event, and as well as an extensive sporting schedule, the Games include a variety of social events for competitors and visitors to the region.
