aged care worker in court over naked photos

An Tasmanian aged care worker is in court over taking photos of himself with naked residents.

The Magistrate’s Court in Hobart heard Adam Matthew Pettit was working at the OneCare Barossa Park aged care facility in Glenorchy when he took four pictures of female patients in various stages of undress.

The 32-year-old took lewd photos of himself next to the residents, the court heard.

According to ABC News the court heard Pettit sent one of the photos to another staff member who did nothing about it for two months. She then confided in another colleague and management was informed.

Pettit was stood down pending the outcome of an investigation and he handed in his access card and did not return to the facility.

Magistrate Hay adjourned sentencing Pettit until February so that he could be assessed for community service and probation.
