WIN Your Own Copy of THE PENGUIN KING 3D

The Retiree magazine is thrilled to have four DVDs of the newly released documentary, The Penguin King 3D to give away.

Narrated by one of the world’s most respected and recognised natural history filmmakers Sir David Attenborough, the Penguin King 3D is a stunning documentary with incredible scenery, inspiring music and a story of the Penguin Kings living on the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia.  But, it’s more than a film of fact that has been done and seen before. It’s an engaging story of a bachelor penguin and his journey as an awkward adolescent who undergoes a rapid transformation when he finds his soul mate, raises a chick through its first perilous year and faces the trials and tribulations of life in Penguin City.

penguin_kingAttenborough’s storytelling, the stunning and surreal cinematography by Simon Niblett, and the emotionally charged music directed by James Edward, combine to create an adventure that will suit all demographics. There is, at brief times, footage of bloodthirsty predatory behaviour that gives it a PG rating.

Another highlight of the DVD is the making of the movie. The logistics of filming in such remote and harsh conditions, including the task of shooting with specially designed 3D equipment, is a real feat.

The Penguin King 3D is produced by Anthony Geffen and and Sias Wilson. The feature documentary runs for approximately 80 minutes and the special features section is less than an hour.

The Retiree has 4 copies of The Penguin King to give away, including 2 Blue-ray 3D, and two DVDs. The first four people to email competitions@aprs.com.au will win. Please include your name, address and telephone details.
