Twilight at Taronga Summer Music Series

Twilight at Taronga summer music series celebrates its 20th Anniversary in 2015 with a new look, a new line-up and the breathtaking 180-degree Sydney Harbour views that make this without a doubt Sydney’s most spectacular live music destination.

Taking place every Friday and Saturday night over summer from 30th January to 21st March inclusive, Twilight at Taronga 2015 will present the series’ most diverse line-up to date. On Tuesday 28th October Taronga Zoo will announce the program for this new era of entertainment with a line-up of international, contemporary and classic Australian artists. This eclectic mix of artists will ensure Twilight at Taronga takes the stage as an essential Sydney experience that welcomes audiences of all ages to this unique venue.

To mark the occasion and celebrate the new look series, Twilight at Taronga commissioned iconic Australian artist, Mosman local and Twilight regular Ken Done to design the 20th Anniversary artwork.

“In 2015 we are not only celebrating 20 years of Twilight but are thrilled to be presenting a line-up that will introduce Twilight at Taronga to a new generation of audiences as well as providing plenty of great-night-out options for longstanding fans of the event,” says Paul Davies, General Manager – Marketing, Fundraising and Commercial Services, Taronga.

“I’ve always loved the zoo. It is a beautiful and thrilling place and to attend one of the Twilight at Taronga concerts is one of the real joys of living in Sydney,” said Ken Done.

Experience the thrill of a summer twilight open-air show on the lawn of the intimate, fully licensed natural amphitheatre. Enjoy gourmet picnic hampers with family or friends inspired by renowned chef Giovanni Pilu whilst relaxing, drink in hand, knowing that you are also supporting a good cause with 100% of the profits from the events going towards supporting the conservation work of the Taronga Conservation Society Australia.

Getting to Taronga Zoo is a breeze on a 15 minute ferry across Sydney’s glorious Harbour or via direct bus service. This year, as a new initiative, Twilight at Taronga will be working with transport operators to provide additional transport options, so that everyone can get to and from Taronga Zoo easily, and you can leave your car at home, and enjoy the evening.
