It’s that time of the year – you know, the time to celebrate and honour the work that goes into film, television and music (the stuff that keeps us entertained at home!) and over the weekend, the BAFTAs were carried out in the UK.
The award ceremony was emceed by the charismatic Stephen Fry, who – since the show was held on Valentine’s Day – presented a special little segment called the “kiss cam” (an American invention, he claims).
The kiss cam, as Fry explains in the video below, picks out two celebrities seated near one another to kiss, leaving the interpretation of “kiss” entirely up to those individuals.
The ensuing results are gorgeous and funny, and when the camera lands on The Revenant star Leonardo DiCaprio and Dame Maggie Smith, it’s especially sweet.
